Fibromyalgia
I am currently reading a book by Dr. Paul St. Amand and researching his treatment for Fibromyalgia. It seems to be a very interesting and promising treatment protocol utilizing guaifenesin (a decongestant) and avoiding products containing salicylates and naturally occuring oils. More information can be found about this protocol by visiting the Fibromyalgia Treatment Center website. I hope to provide guidance and body mapping at Kneading Hands Massage sometime in the future.

Support a Great Cause, Win a Year of Massages
In today's economy many individuals need to make tough decisions. Those decisions not only affect the individual, but can have a rippling effect. Non-profit organizations are feeling the brunt of those decisions. With less disposable income, or less inclination to donate, organizations are struggling to meet the needs of those they serve.
The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley is one such organization. The PCFLV provides services to children afflicted with cancer and their families. I have supported this organization for the past 2 years by donating time and discounting services. This year, the same as last, we are sponsoring a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for this very worthwhile cause. Win a Year Of Massages is our annual effort. For the cost of a raffle ticket ($10) you can win one of three prizes; (12) One Hours Massages, (6) One Hour Massages, or (3) One Hour Massages.
Drawing to be held on Friday, 11/13/09. Winners will be notified by mail and will be provided with gift certificates which may be used for themselves or to give as gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

My First Blog
Attended a Social Networking Seminar today hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. The seminar facilitator was Mike Schlossberg. It was very informative. Although I have some experience using Facebook, I was a little apprehensive about using Twitter and LinkedIn. Mike's presenation gave value to these somewhat obscure services. It also gave push me a nudge to be more active online promoting my business, Kneading Hands Massage, and start this blog! Thanks Mike!!
